Market District
The Market District features independent merchants from all across the Mid-Atlantic (but within 200 miles of DC). All come together within the FRESHFARM farmer’s market, which operates every Sunday year-round as well as Thursdays from 3pm-7pm. This family-friendly market is the perfect spot to shop for locally grown fruits and vegetables, mushrooms, grass-fed meats and pastured eggs, dairy products, ferments, sweet and savory baked goods, pastries, kombucha, cold-pressed juices, coffee, ice cream, prepared foods, handmade dog treats, and more! Beyond top-tier shopping & dining, the Mosaic District is also home to the Angelika Film Center – one of the most well-known and highest-grossing arthouses in the US. Since its inception in 2012, the Angelika Film Center & Cafe at Mosaic has become one of the most dynamic facilities in the greater DC area. Additionally, the Mosaic District also hosts family friendly activities and holiday events year-round! In the warmer months, you can expect nighttime movies on the green space!
Getting Around the Mosaic District
As mentioned, the Mosaic District was crafted for an optimal experience with intelligent urban design making it easy to make your way around the community either by foot or vehicle! In addition to easy movement within the district, the location of the community makes it perfect for commuters as it’s just a minute from the 495 beltway and close to the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro.
